Once again The Business Show in London’s Kensington Olympia proved to be a worthwhile two-day event for SEO Desk, including two jam-packed seminars held by our very own Managing Director, James.
The event was targeted at new businesses and/or entrepreneurs who are looking for additional support or investment. For us it was an opportunity to let business leaders know just how important online marketing is and what exactly it is that we provide in order to achieve our results. To this end the event was a great success – we spoke literally to thousands of people over the course of the two days. It was also great just to be a part of it – to soak up the atmosphere of enterprise and to meet with other businesses and the individuals that help drive them forward.
We weren’t alone, either – 22,000 people came through the doors on both days, to see 350 exhibits and listen to many of the 250 seminars on offer. James’ own talks were on How to Promote Your Business on Google in 2014, with advice being given on how to best prepare businesses for search in 2014 whilst avoiding penalties and explaining more about Google’s recent updates. It’s encouraging to see how many business owners are aware of the importance of search – so much so in fact that James’ talks were so over-subscribed that some attendees were forced either to stand at the back or sit on the floor at the front!
It was also a chance for us to network and to see what other businesses are doing and what kind of challenges they foresee in 2014, as well as what opportunities they envisage. Overall it was a great, fun experience and we made plenty of new introductions through both our stall and the success of James’ presentations.
We’re definitely looking forward to next year and hope to see as many faces as we did this time. No doubt many of them, like us, will be repeat visitors. It will be interesting to see what 2014 has in store for businesses and how the year pans out both for our peers and for the businesses that are just starting out in their journey.
Below are the slides from the presentation.
